About the Clinic

The Graduate Psychotherapy Clinic is an initiative of a group of graduates of the three year Hakomi Professional Training. The graduates are now wanting to advance their skills and become Certified Hakomi Therapists. That process requires submission of video tapes of therapy sessions.

Video tapes

The Graduate Psychotherapy Clinic offers low cost therapy in exchange for permission to video tape the sessions.

The video tapes are used solely for the purpose of supervision and review by a Hakomi Supervisor or Teacher.

The video tapes are treated with the utmost respect and security. The client's privacy is always respected and the material is kept in strict confidence.

We will enter into a signed agreement with you, to affirm the above and get your permission to use the tapes for learning and supervision purposes.

Furthermore, at any time after any of your sessions, you can request that the tape be deleted and it will be, without hesitation.

All tapes will be deleted once their learning/certification purpose has been fulfilled.

At a cost you can afford

The sessions cost $30 per hour. All the income is used to cover the cost of running the clinic. The therapists are not receiving remuneration for their time. To keep administration to a minimum, please make sure that payment, in cash, is made at each session.

How do I make an appointment?

Please call the Clinic coordinator on 0406 726 736. The coordinator will then match up your preferred day and time with an available therapist. The therapist will then make contact with you to confirm your appointment and make final arrangements. We request a minimum of 24 hours notice of cancellations and rescheduling of appointments. Please contact your therapist directly.

What else do I need to know?

In order to make this offer available to as many people as possible, there will be a review of the therapy contract after six (6) sessions. At that point we re-evaluate the work together, giving you the choice to:

continue with your therapist at a privately negotiated fee; or
be referred to another Hakomi Therapist in the Graduate Clinic; or
complete the therapy. That decision will be made by mutual agreement between yourself and your therapist.
